Resort/Hotels

Pueblo of Sandia Resort/Golf Club; Pueblo of Sandia, New Mexico

Construction Management, Senior Project Manager/Owners Representative for this 230-key hotel adjacent to an existing casino. The project included an 18-hole golf course, designed by Scott Miller, with maintainance facility and a 6 million dollar club house over looking the 18th hole. The resort houses a 35,000 SF conference center, a 200 seat buffet and a rooftop fine dining restaurant as well as a 12,000 SF spa. Project cost 122 million.

 

Pueblo Sandia Casino; Pueblo of Sandia, New Mexico

Construction Management, Senior Project Manager for this 672 acre commercial development, consisting of a 218,000-square-foot casino with two levels of underground parking, a 125,000 GPD wastewater treatment plant, complete infrastructure including a new water system consisting of two world class production wells and 3 million gallon storage tank, new electrical substation and 3 million dollars of landscaping. Project cost 115 million projects were a fast-track delivered in 18 months. As CM was able to save the Owner several million dollars without sacrificing design or construction quality.

 

Camel Rock Casino; Pueblo of Tesuque, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Project Architect/Project Manager for this 50,000 square foot facility, completed as a design-build, fast track project in 10 months at a cost of $5.5 million dollars. Project included an 800-seat bingo hall, video game room, live card rooms and a 160-seat, full-service restaurant. The curved entry faces the west to frame the Pueblo’s famed landmark, “Camel Rock,” Camel Rock Casino is operated by the Tesuque Pueblo Tribe of Santa Fe, NM. Located 12 miles north of Santa Fe, Camel Rock is lies within the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

 

Kona Kai Club and Resort; Shelter Island, California

Project Architect for this 300-key resort that cost $70 million.

 

San Juan Pueblo Gaming Facility; Española, New Mexico

Managed one of the proposed designs for project that was planned as a $6.5 million, 50,000-square-foot facility.

 

Summit Hotel; (currently Doubletree Hotel) Denver, Colorado

Project Architect for this 200-key hotel costing $20 million.

 

 

 

 

Judicial and Courtroom Facilities

McKinley County 11th Judicial District Courthouse; Gallup, New Mexico

Construction Management, Project Director for the new construction of a 49,000-square-foot, 3-story building courthouse and the renovation of a 23,000-square-foot historic courthouse building. Project cost $10.2 million.

 

Bernalillo County 2nd Judicial District Courthouse and DA Building, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Construction Management, Design phase Project Manager for the new 244,000-square-foot, seven-story courthouse, and 79,000 square-foot District Attorney building. Project cost $50 million.

Managed $8 million in commercial projects.

 

Office Buildings

Arizona Public Service Administrative Complex; Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station

Project Architect for this 300,000-square-foot office complex that consisted of two three-story buildings with a 20,000-square-foot Energy Information Center. Project cost $30 million.

 

Camelpoint; Phoenix, Arizona

Project Architect for this 125,000-square-foot, four-story office building with a three-story, below-grade parking structure that cost $16 million.

 

Circle K Headquarters; Phoenix, Arizona

Project Architect for this multi-story office building, fast-track construction project that cost $8 million.

 

Country Club Office Park; Denver, Colorado

Project Architect for this 50,000-square-foot office park costing $35 million.

 

Zia Office Complex– Pueblo of Zia

Zia Office Complex was proposed as a Design/Build project consisting of a 60,000 square foot, $6 million development by Zia Realty. The original design reflected the Northern New Mexico style prevalent in the town of Bernalillo. The project was designed and buildings arranged around the Zia Symbol. Currently Zia is re-evaluating for market analysis and possible mixed-use expansion

 

Santa Clara Senior Community Center – Santa Clara Pueblo

The center’s design and function is reminiscent of the Grand Kivas of pueblo ancestors. Its tall spacious circular gathering spaces, filtered with natural light and surrounded by smaller rooms, allow an intimate community area for the occupants. Exterior spaces provide a Ramada for an open grill and an adobe bread oven (hornos) for preparation of traditional foods. The master plan also included two facilities united together by a central plaza, walking paths and sitting area.

Chinle Detention Facility; Chinle, Arizona

Project Architect for this 30,000-square-foot, 50-bed juvenile facility that cost $6 million.

 

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Adult and Juvenile Detention Facility; Scottsdale, Arizona

Managed a $12.5-million "Planning of New Institutions" study for an 80,000-square-foot, 120-person facility.

 

Western Navajo Service Center; Tuba City, Arizona

Project Architect for this 25,000-square-foot, 36-bed juvenile detention facility that cost $4.5 million.

 

Educational Facilities

 

New Mexico Statewide Assessment; Property Control Division, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Project Director for the statewide assessment of over 800 NM buildings, approximately 6 million square feet. This included prioritizing all State-owned facilities to determine deferred maintenance and predict 10-year capital renewal funding requirements.

 

New Mexico K-12 Facility Condition Analysis Refresh; Legislative Council Services, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Project Director for the update of the statewide assessment of New Mexico’s 755 K-12 campuses in 89 school districts, approximately 60 million square feet. This included prioritizing all schools for funding and training of school district staff to update data.

 

Higher Education Facility Condition Analysis; Commission on Higher Education, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Project Director for the State of New Mexico's $400 million program, which included 27 institutions of higher education and two special institutional schools.

 

New Mexico K-12 Facility Condition Analysis; New Mexico State Department of Education, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Project Director for the statewide assessment of New Mexico’s 755 K-12 campuses in 89 school districts, approximately 48 million square feet.

Construction Management, Project Director for this 24,200-square-foot early education facility including an administration building, nursery, four classroom buildings, and a janitor and maintenance building. Project cost $5 million.

 

Arizona State University West Campus Administration Building; Phoenix, Arizona

Project Architect for this 150,000-square-foot, three-story office building that cost $12 million.

Santa Clara Day School; Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico

Project Architect/Manager - Santa Clara Day School was a historic preservation of the existing administration building, renovation and a 15,000 square foot addition with a complete construction cost of $3 million. The new school was designed in a Pueblo style. Each new pod houses two classrooms for grades K-6. The design included the integration of tiles designed by the Pueblo children.

Project Architect for these $500,000-700,000 additions and remodels.

 

Wa-he-lut Tribal School; Nisqually, Washington

Project Architect for this 8,000-square-foot classroom and gym facility that cost $1.2 million.

Jemez Pueblo Convenience Store; Jemez, New Mexico

Project Architect for this $600,000 design-build project.

Project Architect for this $450,000 design-build project.

 

San Juan Retail Center – TSAY Corp., Pueblo of San Juan*

San Juan Retail Development was a multi-site project with a construction cost of $8 million in commercial projects, including the San Juan Pueblo Gaming Facility, a proposed design that was planned as a $6.5 million, 50,000-square-foot facility.

 

Another site consisted of a 150 space RV lot with shower facilities, laundry facilities and a convenience store. The second site consisted of three stand alone buildings: a 3,500 square foot convenience store/gas station, Laundromat, and a four-bay car wash.
